ASOIAF sets itself apart from other fantasy and remains nearly unparalleled by the ungodly depths of it's lore, world building, and history. WHAT HAPPENED AT STYGAI? ARE THE IRONBORN CHINESE? DID SER POUNCE ORCHESTRATE THE PURPLE WEDDING? If you're new to the series and you're looking for a fantasy rabbit hole, look no further. Get that tinfoil hat ready. Also there's like politics and characters and a plot and stuff.

George writes a lot of books and finishes none of them.
